Tithing

Donation, tithing and giving, no matter how much or how little, is essential to my happiness. Anyone interested in making good money for themselves, in my opinion, should always have a donation plan set in place. Donating brings balance to everything in our financial health and abundance. I highly recommend donating to a good cause, no matter what cause you choose, as long as it means something to you. In case you want some ideas, or need to be inspired, I suggest these two amazing causes:

The Matthew Freeman Project, Pens and Paper for Peace

http://www.freemanproject.org/
This project was thought of by a fallen hero of ours and started by his Mother in his memory. I try to donate to it with every art show, where I sell my work. Matthew was a Captain in the Marine Corps. He was killed in Afghanistan fighting for peace, in 2009. He was also one of my husband’s best friends from high school and beyond. During his time at war, Matthew spoke with the local children, was so moved by what they told him and reported home to immediately start sending school supplies. Please see the amazing foundation link above started by his wonderful Mother in his memory. A peaceful and strong future in war torn areas can be saved by education.

Living Yoga

http://www.living-yoga.org/
One of my favorite Yoga instructors, based out of Oregon, Sarahjoy Marsh, started this non-profit. I try to donate to it every year.

“A non profit outreach program teaching Yoga as a tool for personal change to disadvantaged individuals in prisons, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, and transitional facilities.”
