If you hear a voice within you say "you cannot paint," then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced. ~Vincent Van Gogh

The contents within this site happen to be my interests and lifestyle choices, yes. But the reason for making a one-stop online source of these, is because over the years, I have had several friends, both old and new and family members, ask me for my advice. These folks would ask for advice about how I had made choices, how I set up my home, my healthy habits, meditation, Yoga, Reiki, about my life style, my hobbies, my business details, working abundantly and comfortably from home, tips and tricks, etc. They all seemed to be seeking the goal of (what I believe to be) the very essence of being, to achieve, the point and goal of almost all human life: happiness. From there came, the birth of and reason for creating this web site, The Art Of Happiness.

Bio

beccaRebecca graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Savannah, Georgia in 2001 with a Bachelor or Fine Arts degree in the Department of Illustration. Along with art, in college, she submerged herself on the crew and rowing team. This was the birth of her passion in fitness. She was selected to study with the college abroad in Provence, France, Florence and Venice, Italy in 1999. There she studied interior and exterior illustration. But immediately after her college graduation, she became a certified Yoga instructor. Moving from the Yoga mat and professional Illustration world, she has found peace in creating custom art works for clients and constantly developing collections of multiple meaningful art series’. She celebrates her style changing and evolving constantly. Her main work is sketch, pen and ink and water color but she loves to dabble in acrylics and mixed media from time to time. She tries to use recycled, reused, earth-friendly, non-toxic products and materials as much as possible. The freedom in her work is inspired from her over ten years of teaching Yoga world wide at various Yoga studios. Rebecca’s biggest passion in life is to combine art, creativity, wellness and fitness into helping people with health, balance, happiness in their body and spaces and in their lives. She strives to bring the peace she sees through Yoga and meditation to her artwork and hopefully evoke continually positive reactions to all who view or own her work. Aside from running her at-home nutrition and Beachbody wellness business, Rebecca celebrates peace, balance, equality, purity, womanhood, nature, progression and diversity in every one of her artistic creations.

From Rebecca

I have been an artist, poet and creator since I had the coordination to hold utensils. From art, I found the intuitive love for Yoga, teaching, balance, breath work and movement in the body and wellness. Through Yoga, I found a love for business in nutrition and whole foods. From being my own nutrition business owner and networker, I was guided right back to create art and aesthetics for people outside of myself, clients. You may find trust in my credentials that you see just below. But please know, I see all humans as equally gifted from birth and I feel most quality experience comes from getting out there, traveling, meeting people, making mistakes (and learning from them), living life out loud, fearlessly and to the fullest. That is where my best knowledge and credentials have come from. Thank you for landing here and sharing time with me. I wish nothing but the utmost happiness for anyone and everyone.
